On a chilly Friday evening in Soho, we ducked into YSL Beauty’s holiday pop-up to catch an inside look of the exclusive, captivating world YSL Beauty has to offer. From December 10th-12th, YSL Beauty hosted an extravagant experience for customers to browse, enjoy, and participate in. To celebrate all the YSL products and brand magic, interactive displays such as “The Libre Lounge” and “The Y Studio” scattered the auditorium. We explored each of the areas and left with a little more glam in our lives.
At the Y Studio, pop-up visitors got the chance to walk a catwalk in YSL Beauty style, from backstage to front-and-center, posing in the middle amongst a gold-bathed stage and setup. We recorded our model walk and got to take home the studio-quality video. At the Libre Lounge, we snapped pics in front of the flame-effect “LIBRE” display and sampled the floral namesake perfume while relaxing on plush couches. From the YSL Cafe stand, we grabbed vanilla chai lattes complete with brand-themed latte art and got a caffeinated pick-me-up before our scheduled makeovers.
When our turn came for the beauty chair, skilled makeup artists curated a unique look for each of us by asking our personal styles, makeup comfort level (natural or colorful / glam), and what our night held in store so they could give us the perfect look to take us through the rest of the day with confidence. I got to try a gold smokey eye from the new eyeshadow palette, and a matte red lipstick that perfectly captured the holiday spirit – we left the makeup zone, and the pop-up event, with that YSL Beauty glow that brightened our nights.
