Kate del Castillo is taking on a whole new role as the First Lady of Mexico in her Netflix series debut, “Ingobernable.” The first season of the telenovela is set to air March 24th, with del Castillo acting alongside Leah Allers and Erik Hayser.
This past week, I sat down with writer, director, and producer Coerte Voorhees, who released his film, The First Line, which is a legal drama set in modern day Athens and tells the story of the Parthenon Marbles as two Greek lawyers, romantically intertwined, sue the British Museum calling for the return of the famous Marbles to Greece.
The Netflix Marvel series, Luke Cage, threw it’s audience for a loop this season. Just as we thought the main villain, Cotton Mouth, was down and out and Luke Cage might finally get started on some “normal” superhero duties, in comes a new antagonist: Diamondback.

We recently had the chance to sit with director Ava DuVernay to discuss her new film 13th, a Netflix original documentary, which examines the United States’ status as having the highest rate of incarceration in the world, with the majority of the imprisoned being African-American.
