We recently had the chance to sit with director Ava DuVernay to discuss her new film 13th, a Netflix original documentary, which examines the United States’ status as having the highest rate of incarceration in the world, with the majority of the imprisoned being African-American. We also had the chance to sit down with Malkia Cyril and Kevin Gannon who are also featured in the film. The film is now streaming on Netflix.
The premiere of Marvel’s new series Luke Cage brought together masons from the comic, Hip Hop, and movie worlds respectively. We had the recent pleasure of being invited to an exclusive sit down dinner with the cast of Marvel’s “Luke Cage” on Netflix. The dinner was hosted by the renowned Red Rooster in Harlem, New York. After dinner, guests were treated to an impromptu panel with some of the cast and its creators. See some of what they had to say after the jump.
