Dakun x Liu Yong debuted their collection at Spring Studios for New Fashion Week and it was all about the streets.
The studio was filled to capacity with influencers eager to see the collection. The show started with the lights down low and an empty runway as techno music blared through the speakers. When the lights came to the runways was filled with models in a single filed line wearing lifestyle gear.
The line debuted long bubble coats, hoodies, jean jackets and army fatigues. The pieces were made up of earth tones in forest greens, blacks and reds with Chinese characters sprawled across the pieces. The adult models ripped the runway looking fierce and focused but it was the kid models that stole the show.
The Chinese designers showcased their Eastern Legends streetwear collection for men, women and kids. The line is influenced by Taoism, one of the most prominent cultures in Asia. The culture represents the perfect blend of Chinese Asian culture and streetwear.
The casual yet stylish designs were a collaboration between Dakun and Yong, one of the top designers in China. They aimed for their collaboration to serve as a display of young and fun Chinese culture and they definitely got it right.
