Concert
On July 11th, the JAY Z room at the 40/40 club was crammed with bloggers, journalists and tastemakers eager to see the premiere of BET’s On Tour with Meek Mill.
The special follows the days leading up to rapper Meek Mill’s concert in his home town of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The twist of the series is that his story is recounted by his team, who he affectionately calls the Dreamchasers, comprised mostly of his family and friends. They chronicle the beginning of his career to where the rapper is now.
The series opens with Robert Williams aka Meek Mill, discussing his criminal history. He divulges his struggles with the law and says he has been on probation for 16-years of his life. But despite his legal trouble, he feels obligated to provide for his team because they all rely on him.
“I really thought my whole life would be in the streets, but Meek definitely helped me get away from it,” said aspiring rapper Omelly, first cousin to Meek Mill. “Now I don’t have to risk my life.”
As the special comes to a close, Meek Mill performs to a sold out crowd the intro to his album Dreams and Nightmares which debuted in 2012, but is a Meek Mill classic and fan favorite. As the guests begin to leave the sold out arena, the camera transitions to Meek sitting in a dark room.
“A lot of people aren’t going to understand me, and if you don’t understand me it’s okay,” said the Philly rapper. “Tupac had to die for people to understand him, but I’m not going to die before you understand me.” “I don’t care if it takes one year, two years or four, you will understand me one day.”
“The last night of the #FeelGoodFeelGreat Tour is tonight in our home town. Some tickets are still available. It’s gonna be a special night,” Is what The Knocks posted on their social media accounts at about noon the day of their show in New York City

Stella Artois & John Legend ‘Give Beautifully’ This Holiday Season
With twinkling lights in the ceiling like shooting stars in the sky, the Skylight at Moynihan station transformed into a glimpse of the firmament with all eyes on John Legend and ears on his angelical voice.
On Wednesday December 9, The Knockturnal was on the scene for a first-of-its-kind immersive and interactive light installation presented by Stella Artois. The preview included a stellar performance by the charming artist.
Before we entered this starry venue, we were welcomed to a sparkly room with delicious finger food such as truffled cheddar pretzels to pair up with our Stella Artois beers. Here we learned about the 600-year-old brewing heritage of the Belgian beer brand.
The focus of this room was geared towards this year’s holiday campaign called Give Beautifully. It consists of delivering a series of seasonal surprises that embrace the true essence of the company.
Once we stepped into the room filled with over 500 kinetic LED lights, we felt like we were in the middle of space.
Different color and sized balls moved harmoniously up and down the room while shinning simultaneously. The ambiance felt like a holiday Christmas caroling get-together.
John Legend told the intimate crowd that he was happy to collaborate with Stella on this special event that required coming up with a song related to the sound that stars make. He graced the audience with some of his top hits such as You & I, Tonight, Ordinary People, All of Me and ended the evening with singing Under the Stars live for the very first time.
We strongly recommend that you RSVP to visit this holiday wonder. The installation opens to the public on December 10 until December 12. For more information visit StellaArtois.com.
