Is there anything more fun than Black folks around the holidays? The food, the fashion, the memes, the magic: It’s non-stop joy. 

This year we’re extra-blessed as the sure-to-be-classic ‘A Holiday Chance’ arrives in theaters. The film tells the story of the uber-successful Chance family, movie moguls who haven’t had a hit in a minute. When the company’s founder and family patriarch passes away suddenly, the in-fighting begins. What’s supposed to be a holiday season filled with gifts and good cheer quickly turns south, with allegations of infidelity and disloyalty flying like mashed potatoes in a food fight. 

This movie is chock full of screen legends: Sharon Leal, Richard Lawson, Dorien Wilson, Vanessa Bell Calloway and more light up the screen with bold and bodacious performances that always remain grounded in humanity. Newcomer Chasity Saunders (Terri) is a revelation, witty and whip smart. 

‘Literally everyday going to work felt like it was a dream. I really got to play on camera with some of my favorite actresses,’ said Saunders.
