Earlier this week we attended the Style360 NYFW show #Unfiltered by Jessica Abo.
Jessica Abo is an established T.V. Journalist making her STYLE360 debut. Partnering with IVY, the social university, Jessica brought her latest book “Unfiltered: How to Be as Happy as You Look On Social Media” to life with “an interactive fashion show. The show combined Jessica’s designs with real individuals who use their status to create positive change.” IVY’s CEO spoke highly of Jessica and mentioned that the two had bonded over their passion for helping people find their purpose and understanding that growth is a process.
The evening kicked off with an introduction about Jessica Abo’s work and how she understands and appreciates that “everyone is a work in progress.” Following a brief introduction, the show began with a live performance by actor, writer, musician, composer, arranger, director, and producer, Jonah Platt. Platt is most often recognized from his stint as “Fiyero” in the Broadway production of Wicked. Platt did a medley of cover songs that blew the audience away.
Following the mini concert, Real people hit the runway and showcased their confidence and flaws while sporting Jessica’s new collection. Fans went wild with cheering and clapping for the “models” who had fun with their runway walk, celebrating their confidence.
