The “Let’s Be Well Healthy Heart Box” is helping me take my health back into my own hands. Please get to know the small box set that’s empowering me and others who are newly diagnosed with heart conditions to be healthier!

For those who don’t know I have been on a journey to better myself and my health. Something that’s helping me do that is the “Let’s Be Well Healthy Heart Box” which helps those diagnosed with a heart condition like high blood pressure or high cholesterol, to take care of themselves. The box helps me focus on five key areas that I have big trouble with: Eating Better, Relieving Stress, Being Active, Managing my Blood Pressure, and just general Heart Health Education. I am on a budget so thankfully the Starter Box is just $29.99 and contains five lifestyle products as well as the resources and information to meet people’s changing needs during their journey of managing their cardiovascular health.

I’m not the only one suffering from these issues. Nearly half of US adults have some form of cardiovascular disease and on average, someone dies of cardiovascular disease every 38 seconds or 2, 303 deaths a day, making it responsible for roughly 1 in 3 deaths and that’s terrifying. Nearly 30% of adults do not engage in leisure-time physical activity and more a third of adults in the US are obese, two factors that contribute to cardiovascular disease that are entirely preventable. I, unfortunately, am one of these statistics. Being out and about on the grind I’ve come to neglect my health. Something I know many people can relate to. My doctors have repeatedly warned if I don’t start to pay more attention to my health I will end up with high cholesterol or high blood pressure. Both my dad and grandfather both suffered from high blood pressure so I knew I needed to do something or fall to a similar fate.

Finally feeling the fire and realizing that I need to take action, I did some research. I learned being mindful about your health is the best way to save your life and conveniently your money. This led me to find the “Let’s Be Well Healthy Heart Box”  which helps people navigate their journey to do just that.

The box includes several actual useful items like a cookbook, exercise tools, and more that have helped me on my journey that can now help you on your journey.  The “Cooking in Color” Cookbook is a cookbook full of fun, heart-healthy recipes and insight into the proven techniques of “cooking with color” to let you eat smarter and healthier! The recipes are surprisingly very easy to put together and taste delicious. The great thing about this is that I get to try these things with my dad and grandfather. Now when we hang out were using tools from our healthy heart box to avoid further health issue. My personal favorite the Lavender Gaiam Relax Restorative Eye Pillow lets you get a deeper relaxation with the soft and soothing satin-covered cushion while the lavender scent provides for a natural, calming aromatherapy to help relieve tension and stress, an ideal tool for relaxation, meditation, and yoga. The walking weights are a set of 2 pounds, sand-filled weights that are soft and moldable, allowing you to add a secure and light resistance to your workouts.

The “Let’s Be Well Content Booklet and Journal, Grocery Store map” brings comprehensive, yet easy-to-understand content, a thoughtfully designed daily journal, and a grocery store map together. The journal is key in helping me keep track of what I’m eating but in a fun way. The journal is designed using simple prompts to inspire you or offer an idea of what to write about while the grocery store map is your guide to navigating the grocery store more efficiently and effectively, with insights and tips to make healthier choices in every aisle. The “Let’s Be Well Healthy Heart Box” provides me the practical and simple tools needed to manage heart health, delivered directly to my doorstep. Each of these tools helps me with specific ways to fight against cardiovascular disease and improve physical and mental health.

The “Cooking in Color” Cookbook helps me find ways of incorporating more fruits and vegetables into your diet.  Fruits and vegetables provide many beneficial nutrients, including vitamins, minerals, healthy fats, protein, calcium, fiber, antioxidants, and phytonutrients while also being free of trans-fats, saturated fats, and sodium.  Plus, the natural sugars are much healthier than added sugars, especially if you eat the whole fruit or vegetable, not just the juice. They are also low in calories so they help you manage your weight while still filling you up.  Fruit in any form, from fresh, frozen canned, dried, and 100% juice can all be part of a healthy diet. Only about 1 in 10 US adults eat the recommended daily amounts of fruits and vegetables and on any given day, 27% of 2 and 3-year-olds do not eat a vegetable, and among those who do, fried potatoes are the most common.  Eating a healthy diet rich in fruits and vegetables is directly linked to a longer, healthier life by offering a variety of health benefits, improving your quality of life, and lowering your risk of many serious and chronic health conditions, including heart disease, stroke, obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, kidney disease, osteoporosis, and some types of cancer.  If Americans ate just one more serving of fruits or vegetables per day, this would save more than 30,000 live and $5 billion in medical costs each year, according to one estimate.

The Walking Weights helps me get the most out of their workout. I know it’s hard especially when we are all so busy but getting the recommended amounts of physical activity is key. That includes at least 150 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous activity, 75 minutes of vigorous activity, or a combination of those activities per week and is directly linked to lower risk of diseases, stronger bones, and muscles. Additionally, active adults typically pay less on healthcare than those who are inactive. In fact, one study estimated that physical inactivity accounts for up to 3% of total direct health expense in the US. Just 25 minutes of brisk walking a day can add up to seven more years of life expectancy and regular exercise reduces the health effects of aging and increases the average lifespan. Just by walking regularly, the risk of serious diseases like heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and several types of cancer can be reduced while also improving blood pressure, blood sugar, and blood cholesterol level, bone strength, energy, and stamina. Plus, walking is a great and easy activity to keep you active while also allowing you time to think, feel, and sleep better, improving your memory and mental/emotional well-being.

I struggle with finding the time to sleep so the Lavender Eye Mask helps with getting a good night’s sleep, which can improve my overall health. FYI It’s recommended that people get around seven to nine hours of sleep to maintain a healthy mind and body. Sleeping less and sleeping disorders, in general, are associated with negative health factors and cardiovascular risk. Additionally, I’ve been using the eye mask to help me with relaxing and de-stressing in a healthy manner. According to a 2012 report from the American Psychological Association, 39% of Americans reported eating unhealthy food or eating too much to deal with stress, while another 13% reported drinking alcohol to manage stress. Taking healthy measures to become relaxed and getting enough rest is an important and easy way to improve overall health.

I’m using the “Let’s Be Well Healthy Heart Box” as a way to live my best life. It’s an affordable and easy way to start being more mindful about improving your health so we can all live a longer and happier life.
