STARZ is going all in on the BMF universe. The network just dropped a first-look teaser for Season 2 of The BMF Documentary: Blowing Money Fast, and this one comes with something fans have been waiting for. Terry “Southwest T” Flenory’s first interview since his release from prison.
Set to debut an extended sneak peek this Friday, June 6, the docuseries arrives alongside the highly anticipated premiere of BMF Season 4.
The six-part documentary will go even deeper into the real-life origins of the Black Mafia Family. Born in Detroit during the 1980s, the Flenory brothers, Meech and Terry, built one of the most notorious drug empires in U.S. history. Now, for the first time, Terry will open up about his life, his choices, and everything it took to build an empire from the ground up.
According to STARZ’s President of Original Programming, Kathryn Busby, the story continues to resonate with audiences because of its cultural relevance. “BMF has made a profound impact on hip-hop and culture. The success of our scripted and unscripted series shows just how iconic this story has become. Our audience wants more, and we’re excited to expand their experience with this firsthand account from Terry himself.”
The documentary is designed to complement the fictionalized BMF series, offering a real-world lens on the same events portrayed in the drama. For longtime viewers, it’s a unique chance to compare the dramatized series with the real people who lived it.
Executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and directed by Shan Nicholson, the docuseries promises exclusive interviews, never-before-seen footage, and personal insights from key players inside the Flenory family. It’s a raw, personal look at ambition, brotherhood, and the risks people take in pursuit of the American Dream.
Season 2 of The BMF Documentary: Blowing Money Fast premieres Friday, June 6, on the STARZ app alongside the launch of BMF Season 4 across all STARZ streaming and on-demand platforms.
