One of TV’s biggest guilty pleasures is coming back for an exhilarating and drama-filled season as network WE tv throws an exclusive fashion show at the spectacular Angel Orensanz foundation to celebrate the occasion. Ten innovative student designers competed to create a fun and fierce interpretation of a Bridezilla wedding gown for a first place grand prize of $5,000.
Celebrity judges Carol Alt, Kelly Bensimon, Rachel Lindsay, Sonja Morgan and Jesse Palmer scrutinized the designs as they were modeled on the catwalk and competitors were given the opportunity to explain their creative process. From an impressive murder at the Louvre gown which incorporated an actual oil painting to a Tim Burtonesque crazy bride of Frankenstein dress to a high fashion Carolina Herrera inspired creation featuring handmade ruffles that took over 50 hours to sew, the attendees got to experience an incredible show.
Costume designer and Parson’s student Beck Jones finally took the cake and the oversized $5,000 check with his recycled 1920s vintage wedding dress turned into a memorable Bridezilla gown. But the real star of the night was host and brilliant comedian Michelle Collins who delighted everyone with her wit and humor.
