Neon. Lots and lots of neon.

Fashion designer Jeremy Scott debuted his newest spring collection during New York Fashion Week and gave show goers a blast from the past. The designer showcased his signature bright colored, artsy ensembles with a rose-tinted version of the sleazy, booze-filled, party scene, wouldn’t vacation there with your grandmother New York City’s 80’s era.

The collection included outfits decked out in 1980’s memorabilia like Firecracker popsicles, Jeremy toothpaste and references to the cult classic Slime City. Models strutted down the catwalk sporting bowl cut hairstyles, metallic dresses, shiny black leather skirts, checkers and of course neon- lots and lots of neon. The collection definitely captured the punk, grunge and even pop feel of the wild and iconic time of one of America’s greatest cities. It is Jeremy Scott did you really expect anything else?

We caught up with our friend Miss Pop backstage. She worked with OPI for a fun nail look:

Our look was very multicolored as per usual but Jeremy was inspired by 1980’s New York and there were these big circle bags and big circle, skirts and belt. We wanted to bring that totally 80’s geometric print to the nail. So what we did was we painted the nail with “To Infinity and Blue-Yond,” “We’re In The Black,” “Infinite Shine,”  “I Just Can’t Cope-acabana,” “Red My Furtune Cookie” and “That’s Berry Daring,” so five colors and we mixed the big dot and the color all up so every girl got a different combination and the way you get the dot is you pour  a little bit of polish out in a dish or on a piece of tin foil, you dip a pencil eraser into it and you stamp it down on the nail.

“I just think it’s fun and different from what I normally do. I’m a fan of Jeremy’s work. Jeremy Scott’s line is so fun an imaginative, so if anyone could bring this side of me out, it would be him,” Parris told us. She stars in Survivor’s Remorse. “We have two more episodes left and its been a crazy season, a big season with Uncle Julius being gone and we’re tackling a lot of tough topics, so you can expect more of that and this season is going to go out with a bang.”

Coco Rocha shared, “I’m wearing Jeremy Scott and it’s all these amazing metallic bubbles and no they are not just in the front, they are also in the back, so it’s an interesting sit, but I feel like at this show you have to play it up because everyone is definitely going to be there having fun … I feel like it’s always a guess when you come, and it’s a good guess. It’s always a well hidden secret until the first girl appears … I just recently am part of a new company called NOMAD, where we are managing / agency so I’m very excited to be apart of that because for so many years people have asked me to help out with new models and now I feel it’s right to be apart of an actual group and amazing agents so that’s been our big, big project, just working with our new girls on the shows and it’s a lot of fun.”
