On The Scene: 2019 Rolling Loud Festival In Miami [Photos]

The Rolling Loud 5 year anniversary was a star-studded event with nothing less then what was to be expected.

Day 1

Big names coming together all in one spot, raging fans from all over the world and a flurry of interactive things in between like interviews from the famous Nardwuar. The day started off with well known upcoming artists like City Girls who performed their hit song “Act Up” and Trippie Redd who put on a fun but interactive show to say the least. All this leading to ending the day with an energetic performance from Rae Shremmurd who made the percentage of getting sprayed with champagne at Rolling Loud at an all-time high while performing hits like “Powerglide” and “Come Get Her”. Then came the final act with people waiting during a hot day in Miami, Florida and mosh pits upon mosh pits. As the stage prepped you could see that this would be a performance like no other that day. Cardi B came out to a very visually captivating set where tropical colors along with Cardi visuals appeared along the back end. She performed her top hits like “Tease Me” and “I Like It” as the crowd sang along to every word. Although there was a false alarm that occurred during the performance, Cardi was able to keep the energy of the festival alive and Rolling Loud later responded responsibly stating what had occurred for the fans. Nonetheless the show went on and the first day was a success to say the least.

Day 2

Days 2 was jam-packed with iconic music moments but sadly deterred by 2 canceled acts from Lil Wayne and Kodak Black due to exterior issues. With a bit of a bump in the road, day 2 was still one to be remembered. To start they had a crazy combo bringing in both Waka Flocka Flame and Chief Keef, two people known for bringing high energy to the stage. If that type of music was not to your liking you could catch some smooth melodies and vibes from J.I.D in between those stages. After those performances, you could catch performances from top upcoming artists such as Lil Baby and Gunna who turned up the main stage. The night ended with an iconic performance from Travis Scott who had just that day released his newest addition to Nike’s Jordan 1. While sporting the sneaker he performed some of his hits from his latest album, Astroworld, and fan favorites from years past.

Day 3

Then came day 3, which almost looked to be rained out but once again Rolling Loud pressed on. And I’m sure everyone at the festival was glad they did, getting huge performances like the recently blown up artist Lil Nas X who came out with the legendary country singer Billy Ray Cyrus to perform America’s number 1 hit right now “Old Town Road”. Along with that, came the very iconic DMX who came out for his first festival in a very long time to perform his classic hits from his prestigious rap career. Now while the fans may be thinking to themselves how this couldn’t get any better, it did as Wiz Khalifa put on an amazing show with longtime friend and weed advocate Curren$y. Finally, the day ended with Kid Cudi and you could hear the hums in the air that he’s most famously known for as fans packed up the main stage. Kid Cudi came out and did not disappoint bringing nothing but love and positive vibes into the air to end what was an amazing Rolling Loud weekend.
