The leather look is timeless and Reebok is here to prove it.

Reebok broke out with their Classic Leather sneaker in 1983 and it has stood as one of the most iconic sneaker styles. The design has left a blank canvas for generation after generation. So to show how the Classic Leather has greatly evolved throughout the years Reebok Classic had partnered up with ambassador, Kendrick Lamar and leading UK creative talent to celebrate to brands most influential sneaker.

The journey kicked off in London where Reebok Classic presented a fashion show at the legendary Tate Modern museum. The show featured the Classic Leather style apparel from some of the UK’s top designers Agi & Sam, Katie Eary, Ashish, Holly Fulton, Matthew Miller, Christopher Shannon, Kesh, Sadie Williams, Alex Mullins and Cottweiler. Star Wars star John Boyega and model Neelam Gill attended. The soundtrack for the show was provided by London based rapper Little Simz.

The celebration then made its way over to Manchester where Kendrick Lamar spread his message of inspiration and originality. Kendrick and Reebok surprised a group of talented kids from Manchester’s music charity Brighter sounds at  Wonder Inn and delivered a strong message of individuality. The kids even received the great opportunity to recite their own spoken work in an impromptu rap battle. Kendrick then traveled to one of Manchester’s most historic spaces, Granada Studios and gave a powerful intimate performance for select guests.

“With my music, I share and seek for understanding. Through a freedom of expression and originality. This is what Reebok is about- being original and authentic. My memories of Reebok go back to high school when I wore the Classic Leather. It’s a sneaker that identifies with culture and lets you express your own style, lets you stay true to yourself,” said Kendrick.

If you want to get your hands on a pair of these iconic shoes they are currently available at Reebok.com, Finish Line and Journey’s.
