VH1’s Hip Hop Squares has been renewed for a new season!
This past Thursday, VH1 alongside Ice Cube and his Cube Vision production company in conjunction with Jesse Collins Entertainment and others have announced that VH1 Hip Hop Squares has the greenlight for a second season. The show has been ranked as VH1’s highest rated new series in a year.
Ice Cube commented on the accomplishment, saying “The positive response to ‘Hip Hop Squares’ has been an incredible experience, my team and I are grateful to VH1 and everyone who has worked incredibly hard to make the show a success.” The show is based on the ‘Hollywood Squares’ produced by King World Productions Inc. and distributed by CBS.
The series is directed by Ivan Dudynsky and co-executively produced by Dionne Harmon and Neal Konstantini. The show is hosted by DeRay Davis and features some of the biggest names in hip hop, comedy and entertainment. These stars come together to play and party – matching their wits and testing their pop culture knowledge. Celeb Contestants and squares this season include Ice Cube, Teyana Taylor, Amber Rose, Remy Ma, French Montana, Fat Joe, Bobby Brown, T-Pain, Karrueche, T.I.P, Monica and many more.
