A$AP Ferg and Remy Ma Represent ‘East Coast’ in New Single

A$AP Ferg and fellow New York rapper Remy Ma put it down for their city in new single “East Coast”.

Ferg recently released his sophomore album Always Strive and Prosper last April and is back with a new single. The track is filled with the rapid-fire bars that Ferg is known for. Remy Ma takes shots at unnamed targets on her verse. “I been one, you been done/ You shoulda been just hung it up” she raps. She doesn’t make it clear who she is directing these disses to, but due to her recent beef with fellow New York rapper Nicki Minaj, it’s safe to say that these might be directed to her.

The track is filled with high energy and a New York feel. The lyrics show devotion to the coast that they’re from and are delivered in a manner that screams New York rap. Produced by Tariq Beats and DJ Khalil, Ferg is able to deliver his rowdy lyrics over an instrumental that is completely bass driven. “East Coast” is the first single from Ferg’s forthcoming album, Still Striving, which doesn’t have a release date yet.
