Last week , The Knockturnal had the pleasure of attending the premiere for Robert Eggers’ new feature ‘The Northman.’
The Northman marks the third full length feature for Robert Eggers, his previous films being The Witch and The Lighthouse. At the red carpet Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban made an appearance as well as cast members including Anya Taylor-Joy, Willem Dafoe, and Alexander Skasgård.
Before the film started, Eggers thanked all the cast and crew that put countless hours into making this film possible. Then after, he brought out the main cast, a surprise to pretty much everyone there.
If there’s one thing to be concluded from Eggers’ speech it was that he put his heart and soul into this movie, and so did the cast and crew. He even joked about hating the Vikings before writing the film but after making the film he actually grew very fond of them.
All in all it was a very fun night, everyone seemed to be very invested in the movie the entire time, and many people were even talking about their reactions in the main lobby. I recommend going to see this film in theaters as it is an incredible experience, definitely not one you want to miss and end up watching on a streaming site from your tv at home.
