Netflix knows that school is almost out and what a better way to start vacation than by watching “The Last Summer” on their platform, which launched globally on May 3rd!
Everyone from around the world knows what it’s like to go into that “next stage” in life. For this movie, it’s all about high schoolers making it through their final summer before college. As many of us know this can be one of the most memorable summers of your life!
Monday night at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood the stars from the movie attended the red carpet event and advance screening of the new Netflix movie. This event was one that cast members and friends didn’t want to miss. Many stars such as K.J. Apa, Maia Mitchell, Tyler Posey, Jacob Latimore, Halston Sage, Sosie Bacon, Wolfgang Novogratz, Gabrielle Anwar, Ed Quinn, Jacob McCarthy, Mario Revolori, Norman Johnson, Jr., Brenna Sherman, Audrey Grace Marshall, Sameera Rock, and Nicole Forester were in attendance that evening and truly enjoyed raving about the movie.
The Knockturnal joined in on a conversation with none other than Tyler Posey who plays Ricky in the film.
The Knockturnal: What is something fun that you do on set to bond with the cast?
Tyler Posey: I usually crack a couple fart jokes and then everyone loosens up. That’s honestly what I do, I love to goof around and feel comfortable and it makes them comfortable in a weird way. I don’t like to take things too seriously. It can be nerve-racking to hop on a project with people that have been doing it forever.
The Knockturnal: What was it like playing a baseball player in the movie?
Tyler Posey: It was one quick shot and I had played baseball growing up, I was the smallest guy on the field ya know, can you tell? I’m definitely not built like a ballplayer, but I had a great time, it was awesome.
The Knockturnal: What do the next steps in your life look like for you?
Tyler Posey: Taking care of myself more, always striving to make myself a better person, and make myself proud, being healthier, taking care of my house, being better to my friends, and being a better person all around. Music, I’m recording an album right now, and I have a movie I’m doing soon.
So, of course, Tyler is keeping us all on our toes to see what he has in store! But for now, we can all watch Netflix’s The Last Summer, out now!
