New York City’s iconic Tribeca Festival continued yesterday, with more films unveiling for excited audiences and star studded red carpets. We kicked off the day in Tribeca with the red carpet for Penélope Cruz’s newest film, Official Competition.

Starring Cruz and Antonio Banderas, the film follows José Luis Gomez as an incredibly rich business man, as he’s reached a point of stagnancy as he celebrates his 80th birthday. He comes up with a plan to create his greatest achievement; an award winning art film. Without so much as reading the book he’s purchased the rights too, he brings Cruz’s character Lola on board as an unbalanced and precocious director who has a very particular vision for the film. The two main stars of the film, Felix and Ivan, played by Antonio Bandares and Oscar Martínez, could not possibly be more different, and combined with Lola as a director, Luis is in for a crazy ride.

The highly anticipated film was celebrated yesterday with Cruz, Bandares, the cast and producers walking the red carpet before attending a screening and panel.

Later in the day, we were greeted by the incredible Jessica Chastain as she took to the same red capret to unveil her newest film, The Forgiven.

Written and directed by John Michael McDonagh, the film stars Chastain and Ralph Finnes as a lavish married couple on vacation in the Sahara desert. What starts off as a trip as picturesque as their lifestyle quickly takes a turn for the worse as they accidentally kill a young boy. However, they seem to view the incident as a minor inconvenience as opposed to a life altering tragedy. The film itself seems to stand as a conversation on humanities differences and discrepancies, in addition to how money and status can change a person. Chastain does an incredible job of conveying in her performance.

Not only was her performance in The Forgiven showstopping, her red carpet look was as well. Chastain wore a Louis Vuitton menswear inspired black gown, competed with a white tie. The look was a bold contrast from her custom Gucci pink gown that she wore while presenting at the 75th annual Tony Awards on Sunday.

In celebration of the show’s society woman from the 1800s, Hetty, CBS invited fans to the launch of “Hetty-quette: A Book of Etiquette” at The Ripped Bodice, on June 16th, in Culver City, CA.  Kicking off their in store experience, Gilded Age – dressed brand ambassadors drew guests to the “Hetty-quette” book display to briefly explain her wisdoms and were presented with their own copy of her fine literature. As fans took in the experience, they were transported to an era long gone by the musical sounds of classical harpists, a calligraphy artist to personalize their “Hetty-quette” book and received free book vouchers to shop 10 curated novel selections for each of the shows characters.  After checking out with branded GHOSTS freebies, guests commemorated their “Hetty-quette” experience with a staged Gilded Age themed photo booth opportunity worthy of all social media shares.
