From the creators of Superbad, Goods Boys brings you an R-rated comedy just in time before summer ends. The film follows Max (Room’s Jacob Tremblay) along with his six grade pals Lucas (Keith L. Williams) and Thor (Brady Noon) as they do the most before they go to the cool kids kissing party. Only problem is Max doesn’t know how to kiss.
“Every second I was like wiping my mouth,” said Tremblay on the carpet. This was his first time having an on-screen and real life kiss so naturally we had to ask if anybody gave him advice. “My mom was just telling me to keep my mouth dry.”

As you can imagine, the idea of having your first kiss is pretty nerve-wracking while at that young impressionable age. If you say you weren’t nervous you’re lying because we’ve all been there. Nothing ever goes exactly as planned and that is definitely shown in the movie as the boys encounter obstacles, inappropriate situations, and a myriad of other hijinks.
According to Sam Richardson from the recent Emmy-nominated show Veep, “you can expect adult situations featuring little children.” Richardson plays the officer in the film and he had a simple piece of advice to share about one’s first kiss. “Consent is key.” From the trailer you can see the kids practicing on a blow up doll and asking the doll for consent before getting started.
The world laughed their a** off with Pineapple Express and Sausage Party and for that we can thank Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg. Now with that same duo standing behind Good Boys and alongside Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky from The Office, it’s a no brainer here. So be prepared to laugh! Oh and if you’re asking yourself how a comedy can be R-Rated when the main stars are 3 tweens.. you’re gonna have to watch and find out for yourself!
Good Boys is officially out in theaters so if you didn’t have any weekend plans, now you do! You’re welcome!
