On The Scene: Future of Sports Preview Party

The Knockturnal was invited to the premier private party for the Future of Sports in Brooklyn, New York.

On Friday, November 1, media star Shiggy hosted along with DJ sets by DJ Amrit and Austin Millz. This interactive experience seamlessly brought entertainment, health, and fitness lovers into one gym to celebrate the transformation of Sports, Movement, and Culture.

We were lucky to get the chance to chat with the young lady who founded Future Of Sports. Nicole Pinedo took a quick moment to share her intentions and plans for Future Of Sports. The company’s mission is to build the community by integrating, culture, entertainment, and fitness. Being born into a professional athletic lineage in Bolivia, Nicole had a deep admiration for fitness and her culture. Nicole put her creative side in the back seat for the family business and grew up training to be a professional athlete. Between her family‘s experiences and her own, Nicole could not ignore the highly segregated sports industry, and the impact it had on its athletes. A shocking injury forced Nicole to reconnect with her creative side as she begun to re-explore her love for fashion, culture, and art. As she started her new journey, in the United States Nicole began her successful, iconic media branding company. In the heart of Washington D.C., she found her niche producing content and throwing events. She eventually married her two passions media branding and fitness, giving birth to Future Of Sports.

Her first future of sports event in DC was an amazing accomplishment drawing in a crowd of 20,000. The result of this self-funded event peaked the interests of sponsors, cultivated partners, and led to collaborations with Essentia Water, Avion, and more… allowing her to work with a larger budget. The success of this new call to action rapidly caught fire and evolved and moved to Brooklyn, New York, the home of the Barclays Center! Attracting celebrities like actor Mack Wilds, The Stars of Hustle BK on BET, R&B sensation Avery Wilson and Shiggy the man taking the media by storm. This art like fully functioning gym exhibit was exactly what Brooklyn has been searching for! The Future for sports exhibit will be open until November 14th.
