Last Wednesday we stopped by Gibson Guitar to preview “Canal Street Confidential” and it was lit, to the say the least.
With free food, drinks a photo booth and good vibes the night and album were both a success. Rather than curate the listening, track by track, Curren$y played the entire album giving fans a chance to socialize, relax and take in the music. The party had a good mix of industry people and lifelong fans who heard about the event via Curren$y’s twitter. Everyone had a great night and Curren$y once again delivered.
The album itself is now available for purchase and features August Alsina, Lil Wayne, Future, Ty Dolla $ign, French Montana, K Camp and Wiz Khalifa. The album precedes a major U.S. tour starting in L.A. “Canal Street Confidential” is Curren$y’s 6th studio album and follows the success of his “Cathedral” and Saturday Night Car Tunes” mixtapes, which he dropped earlier this year. The album also features production from Purps, CJ Wallis and Cool & Dre.
