On The Scene: 6lack’s Album Release Party

6lack just released his third studio album entitled “Since I Am A Lover” and we were on the scene at his album release party in Los Angeles.

The party was held in the notable Spring Place Beverly Hills and it surely did not disappoint. After listening to the new album entitled “Since I Have A Lover” I was excited to attend the event and celebrate its long-awaited release. We walked into the beautifully dim candle-lit Spring Place restaurant/lounge to gather and celebrate him and all he has accomplished with this new album. While my expectations were to walk into an intimate listening party with a smaller crowd, I quickly realized it was a much bigger party. It was more of a celebration of where he is in life right now much of which is reflected in the album. You can hear the elevation in his sound, tones, and style while staying true to the traditional R&B sounds we are used to when it comes to 6lack. He’s literally one of a kind in this industry and it is reflected in the album release celebration by the support and love he received all night long. The event was attended by some of the most influential people in the industry including journalists, execs, influencers, and more.

All night drinks were flowing from his specialized drink menu with each drink named after some of my favorite songs on the new album like “Since I Have A Lover”, “The Decatur”, and “Fatal Attraction” which added to the good vibrations of the overall event.

Since I Have A Lover (or SIHAL), was released on March 24 by LVRN / Interscope Records and it is definitely a must-listen.
