The 5th Annual Daily Front Row Fashion Awards took place at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles this past weekend.
The event celebrated visionaries in the fashion industry from designers, to influencers, to world class models. Celebrities such as Lady Gaga, James Marsden, Kate Hudson, Joan Smalls, Chanel Iman, Adriana Lima, Courtney Love, Christian Siriano, Sia, Slick Woods, Candice Swanepoel and many more were in attendance on Sunday night.
Kate Hudson was honored as Fashion Entrepreneur, Christian Siriano as Fashion Visionary, Adriana Lima as Fashion Icon, Slick Woods as Model of the Year, Candice Swanepoel as Launch of the Year, Frederic Aspiras as Hair Artist of the Year, Katie Grand and Derek Blasberg as Creatives of the Year, Malika Haqq as Digital Retailer, Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia of Oscar de la Renta and MONSE as Designers of the Year, Valérie Messika as Jewelry Designer, and Ilaria Urbinati as Style Curator. Comedian Celeste Barber emceed the ceremony.
Celebrities from all over definitely raised the bar as they arrived in their impressive outfits. Some guests this weekend were styled by Christian Siriano, Oscar de la Renta, Pretty Little Thing, and more. Many of the guests, including Alicia Silverstone were more than thrilled to talk about their outfit and designer choices with us for the night. Silverstone was dressed in a stunning red dress designed by none other than Christian Siriano. When asked about her friendship with her designer Silverstone told reporters, “We have become very dear friends, and I wear his clothes all the time”. She continued, “He started dressing me and every single thing he put me in…I felt SO womanly. I think he really loves women, truly…”.
As usual, the women on the carpet made a strong and powerful presence as they exuded confidence and class. Former Victoria Secret model Adriana Lima was among those whom left an impact on those around her. When asked what she would change for women in the fashion industry Lima told The Knockturnal, “I think fashion has been changing already.” She explained noticing a lot of “diversity on the runway” at different fashion shows and campaigns. This is something that Lima felt extremely proud of and related to the start of her modeling career as a Latina in the industry. Australian fitness model Tammy Hembrow also made an appearance on the carpet in a little black Epunzer dress. Similarly, boss Lady Malika Haqq stunned on the carpet in a Pretty Little Thing dress, and eventually accepted the Best Digital Retailer award on behalf of PLT.
Fiji Water was named the Official Water of the awards, and kept everyone hydrated as the night went on. The evening was also presented by Maybelline New York, Moroccanoil, Sunglass Hut, PrettyLittleThing, Kronenbourg Blanc 1664, and Château d’Esclans, featuring artworks by Cévé and featured La Fleur Bouquets.
