The Australian born brand, nANA jUDY unveiled its SS19 Collection at Spring Studios during New York Fashion Week last Thursday.
The show, titled “Alive,” centered around growth and evolution throughout time. nANA jUDY designer Glenn Coleman said his collection was “inspired by youth-culture, art, and music; it is unafraid, unending and unlike anything before.” The collection of streetwear designs, including tracksuits, leather jackets, and sweatsuits, dazzled even with its limited color palette. Red, black, white, and silver adorned the pieces in this collection.
Some of the collection was part of a collaboration with Disney, which featured 101 Dalmatians inspired pieces and an appearance from an actual dalmatian on the catwalk. “The capsule is modern and unique, striking the perfect balance for the fashion-forward shopper with a touch of nostalgia,” the designer shared. Dalmatians are especially important to the brand, as it was named after Coleman’s great grandmother’s pet dalmatian Judy. nANA jUDY’s SS19 Collection was a fun mix of colors and patterns ready to liven up anyone’s streetwear style. The collection will be available for purchase in October 2018.
“Established in 2006, NANA JUDY is a global brand from Melbourne, Australia. NANA JUDY designs timeless pieces with a directional style, and are always at the forefront of fashion for men and women,” according to the brand’s mission statement.
