On the first day of New York Comic Con 2024, directors Anthony and Joe Russo (Avengers: Endgame, The Gray Man) joined stars Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt on stage to give fans an in-depth look at their upcoming Netflix film, The Electric State.
The panel was a highly anticipated event, as little had been revealed about the film prior to this showcase, leaving audiences eager to learn more about the ambitious, heartfelt adventure.
Michelle’s world turns upside down when she is visited by Cosmo, a charming robot who mysteriously connects her to her younger brother Christopher—someone she believed had died. Determined to reunite with him, Michelle embarks on a cross-country journey through the American Southwest, accompanied by Cosmo. Along the way, she reluctantly teams up with Keats (Chris Pratt), adding a layer of humor and adventure to her emotionally charged quest.
In addition to their insights, the audience was treated to a full trailer and a behind-the-scenes sizzle reel that featured Pratt showing Millie Bobby Brown a collection of nostalgic 90s items—many of which she had never seen—offering a fun glimpse into the film’s cultural influences. Adding to the excitement, two life-sized robots from the movie made surprise appearances, introducing both the film and its cast to the audience, further immersing attendees in the world of The Electric State.
