Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), an iconoclastic idealist, runs his law practice out of the back seat of his Lincoln, as he takes on cases big and small across the expansive city of Los Angeles.
Based on the series of bestselling novels by renowned author Michael Connelly, the third season is based on the fifth book in The Lincoln Lawyer series, The Gods of Guilt.
The cast came out to celebrate Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3 and shared how happy they are with the success of the show that started during the pandemic and just got renewed for one more season. The show has captivated an audience of fans and those who identify with the rawness of the characters, including a lawyer making ends meet against all odds.
“It’s exciting, but at the same time it feels like home, you know, the cast has become this dynamic that it feels like family,” Manuel Garcia-Rulfo said. “So, it’s very familiar, but at the same time exciting, because this season they put the stakes higher on the suspense and there’s a romance there, so I’m just happy and excited for people to see it.”
There’s a lot of diversity in the series, showing all the diverse communities in LA, and the main character Mickey Haller, is played by a Mexican actor, who adds even more authenticity to an amazing diverse cast.
“I mean I’m very grateful for the opportunity, it’s an amazing character, the way it’s written on the books, he’s half American, half Mexican, so I think they wanted to make it and look for the truth in that, and I guess they saw that in me,” Garcia-Rulfo said.
The show brings out the reality of a true melting pot in LA and doesn’t shy away from portraying real life scenarios in the communities, which makes it stand out from other drama series.
