It’s always hard to pick your favorite baby out of your own artwork.
So, when NCT 127 decided to put out a new album called “Sticker,” and divulge which member loved a song on the new album, we couldn’t help but be all ears. The boys opened up at their global press conference ahead of the albums release to discuss their inspirations, and share their hard work, as well as their favorite song off the new album which is out on September 17 2021.
NCT 127’s Johnny jumped at the chance to state his preference. “I wanted to go first because I wanted to select ‘Promise You’. I like this track because it really holds a message that we have for our fans. Message-wise as well it shows how we’ve felt through the past year and a half so it’s one that’s dear to me.” On the heels of that answer, NCT 127 member, Haechan remarked, “I like ‘Magic Carpet Ride’! I felt like the vibe and lyrics suit our members well so it’s one that I listen to a lot.” The youngest member of NCT 127, Mark also shared his favorite song. “I think this is what makes our album interesting, but every day there’s a different song that I like. But now, it’s ‘Promise You.’ I’m excited to be here with you all, and excited to meet fans soon as well,” he said. Jaehyun joked, “Every time I receive this question, my answer changes. Though we listened to a short clip to ‘Promise You,’ it really got me so I’d have to say ‘Promise You!’” Taeyong responded by saying, “I usually say ‘Promise You,’ but from the highlight medley we listened to, ‘Focus.’ Our members are so talented and have such skills in showcasing all the emotions through our vocals so I’d have to say ‘Focus’.” Taeil added, “‘Rainy Night’… This track is quite different from the other tracks in the album and I feel like it has a very attractive charm to it, so I hope you guys like it.” Jungwoo then said he vote and choose “Dreamer!” I thought about using this as a morning album. The track has a really bright vibe to it, and there’s some others in our album that’s a bit powerful, but this might be a more easy-listening track.” Doyong rounded out the group saying, “I will say our title track ‘Sticker’! It’s the first time we really dived deep with YOO YOUNG JIN and I feel like it really showed off NCT 127’s colors in such a great way!”
The group then joked about the title track of the album sticker. Would there be anything that they really like to be stuck to at the moment? Johnny was quick to respond saying, “I’d like to say being at a concert! I do want to meet our fans soon, and am just waiting for that day to come.” Those in attendance were quick to jump at the idea of an NCT 127 concert tour, which Doyoung dismissed saying, “Not as of yet, but once the situation gets better, we are definitely going to get started.”
NCT 127’s 3rd Album ‘Sticker’ will be released September 17, 2021.
