Meet Naja, a South Florida artist who is making her debut with her first single “Spend This Cash”. She also dropped an accompanying video to match the hype of the song.
There isn’t much about her on the internet other than this song which ended up in our inbox and here we are talking about it! The song caters to cities like Atlanta, Miami, Florida, Houston and Los Angeles. Her approach to music is interesting because while the beat is a certified SuavetheProducer-produced slap, her quasi-hypnotic filtered voice takes some getting used to. Luckily the video is body-positive and suggestive, mixed in with a set of choreographed dances that give it a kitschy-femdom burlesque quality.
The single pretty much caters to the strip club scene where throwing a lot of money on dancers is the norm. However, Naja is unapologetic about her bold and sultry performance which is great because it shows off the confidence level you need to make bold statements in the male dominant industry. This song has a unique quality to it that I can’t quite put my finger on but i’ve seen the video more than once and could not resist sharing.
