MYCHL is a rising Chicago act that is catching a lot of attention with his new single, “Color Me Bad”.
Continuing the campaign with a brand new video, MYCHL shows off his Chi-Town swagger in the new visual that draws the attention of the mainstream executives.
“Color Me Bad” serves as the first introduction to MYCHL. The song focuses on the delicate subjects of police shootings and local gun violence. It also sets the tone for his debut album, also entitled Color Me Bad, due for release in late 2018.
MYCHL on making “Color Me Bad”:
“Smart phones and social media continue to bring police shootings to the forefront of news stories. Some will say that these shootings are nothing new and that technology has just helped witnesses effectively document what has been going on all along. Others believe that things are escalating and are worse than they have ever been. MYCHL shares his opinions on this delicate topic with the release of Color Me Bad.”
MYCHL has ties with fellow Chicago superstars like Chance the Rapper, who collaborated with MYCHL on a track, “Make A Hit” several years ago. MYCHL is ready to make his solo mixtape debut this year off the back of the new video, preparing for a late-2018 release. In the meantime, check out the new video above.
