Leading up to the premiere of Disney Channel Original Movie Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires, I sat down with stars Milo Manheim, Meg Donnelly, Freya Skye, and Malachi Barton for an exclusive junket conversation.
Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires is the fourth installment in the Zombies series, and is a sequel to the 2022 film Zombies 3. In the film, Zed and Addison embark on a road trip the summer after their first year of college, during which they unexpectedly discover the warring worlds of Sunnyside and Shadyside and come into contact with two new groups of monsters.
Manheim and Donnelly, who play leads Zed and Addison, also served as Executive Producers for the movie. Reflecting back on the experience of growing up in the Zombies franchise, Donnelly talked about how the cast and crew feel like a built-in family for life, and Manheim expressed gratitude for what a strong duo they have grown into together over the years. From the experience of growing up watching Disney Channel movies, both felt like they had an expertise in how to make the film a thrilling ride for fans.
Joining the franchise in this installment are Skye and Barton, who play Nova and Victor. Skye talked about how it was surreal to become immersed in the Zombies world with this role after being a huge fan of the first three films. Barton mentioned how the duo was able to channel the energy of Troy and Gabriella from High School Musical as they learned the film’s choreography and rehearsed as an on-screen couple.
Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires will premiere on Disney Channel on July 10, 2025, with a streaming release on Disney+ the following day, July 11.
