Michelle Obama Hosts A-Listers for ‘Girl Talk’ to Celebrate Women’s History Month

What better way to celebrate Women’s History Month than with your favorite powerful female leaders?

POPSUGAR presents Girl Talk keynote speaker Former First Lady Michelle Obama joined with the Girls Opportunity Alliance in support of adolescent girls’ education. The one-hour special airs simultaneously on TLC and streaming platform Discovery+ on Thursday, March 25th, as well as POPSUGAR’s website and social media pages. An encore presentation will also be available on OWN.


Now, who will virtually be in attendance? Just about every #bossbabe you can imagine. Sofia Wylie hosts the special, with a musical performance by Kelly Clarkson and conversations with Alicia Keys, Andra Day, Demi Lovato, Julia Roberts, Kristen Bell, Marsai Martin, Naomi Osaka, Natalie Portman, Shaun Robinson, Shonda Rhimes, and the one and only Meryl Streep. The keynote discussion between Mrs. Obama and girls from the Girls Opportunity Alliance will be moderated by late-night host Lilly Singh.

Don’t forget some of the male allies as well. Chiwetel Ejiofor, Milo Ventimiglia, and Orlando Bloom also will make special appearances to raise money for the Girls Opportunity Alliance to support female academic achievements. As speaker Kelly Clarkson said on Instagram, “Knowledge is a superpower!”

“Girl Talk” special will air on TLC and Discovery+ on Thursday, March 25th at 9pm EST, followed by an encore at 10pm EST on OWN.
