On Wednesday, May 31 at Loan Depot Park the Miami Marlins proudly showcased their support for the LGBTQIA+ community during their Pride in the Park celebration game to kick off the start of pride month.
With over 11,700 fans in attendance, the stadium the crowd displayed love and inclusivity.
The Biscayne Brew Hall welcomed attendees for a pre-game gathering. Fans bonded over their shared love for the Miami Marlins and their support for Pride Month. Each person who attended the pre-game festivity was gifted a Miami Marlins Pride Day bucket hat, allowing them to proudly support the team while celebrating diversity.
The celebrations continued during the game, with the Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida taking the center field, lending their powerful voices to deliver the national anthem.
Adding to the excitement, the Panamanian singer, Sech, was invited to throw out the first pitch. The stadium was filled with cheer as the ball flew towards home plate, symbolizing the official start of the game.
As the game came to an end, the Miami Marlins secured a 2-1 win against the San Diego Padres. The celebrated the Miami Marlins’ win.
The Miami Marlins demonstrated not only their efforts on the field but also their support for the LGBTQIA+ community. The Pride in the Park was a celebration of inclusivity and acceptance.
