You don’t need a ticket to Arthur Ashe Stadium to know the US Open has arrived in New York. Tennis has taken over the city, with brands joining in on the festivities well beyond the courts in Queens.
On Thursday August 27, Mejuri got in on the action with a US Open cocktail hour at Jac’s on Bond, celebrating the start of the tournament with a tennis inspired cocktail pop-up.
The bar room felt like a chic nod to tennis with subtle touches of Mejuri and the tournament weaved throughout the space. Signage placed around the room declared, “MEJURI JEWELRY YOU CAN WIN IN,” while guests sipped tennis-themed cocktails, including the tournament’s signature drink, the Honey Deuce.

The tennis theme extended to the evening’s souvenirs. Guests could pick up matchboxes throughout the night and received gift bags on their way out, complete with a Mejuri-branded tee designed for the US Open.
Tucked into a corner of the bar, subtle enough that you could almost miss it, was a display of Mejuri jewelry. Surrounded by tea candles and cream roses, tennis necklaces and bracelets caught the candlelight, bringing the evening’s tennis theme back to the jewelry itself.
As drinks flowed, a playlist filled with 2000s pop hits set the soundtrack for the night. Guests chatted, snapped photos on Mejuri-branded disposable cameras provided for the evening, and celebrated the start of one of New York’s biggest late-summer traditions.
