This collection offers jazz-infused songs from super-stars: Alicia Keys, Tyrese, and Brandy, along with singers: Coko (of SWV), Gabi Wilson, Elle Varner, B.Slade (formerly known as Tonex), Justine Skye; and emerging artists: Daisha, Alex, Anaysha, and Livre.
MBK is a multi-media firm ran by producer and artist manager Jeff Robinson. “Holidays are about family, love and of course sharing,” he says when asked about his inspiration for putting the compilation together. “So it’s with great joy that I had the pleasure of pulling together my MBK Family to create this fantastic holiday album with love.” Robinson is formerly managed Alicia Keys through her breakthrough success as well as Tyrese.
There are numerous stand-out tracks on the album. Gabi Wilson’s poignant rendition of the beloved classic, “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” (http://smarturl.it/ACH_GabiWilson). Newcomer Alex will undoubtedly evoke comparisons to traditional luminaries such as Sam Cooke with his retro-soul delivery of “Please Come Home For Christmas” (http://smarturl.it/ACH_Alex). B.
