Maybelline New York hosted a whimsical and highly entertaining summer carnival to celebrate the launch of the brand’s newest products on Thursday, June 13, in the heart of Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood. The Knockturnal was among the lucky guests to attend and be one of the first to try out Maybelline’s latest makeup—the Sunkisser Liquid Blush and Bronzer, Lifter Liner, and Firework Mascara, which are all must-have items for the summer season.
“The colors and the shine from the liquid blush are incredible,” exclaimed one guest at the carnival. “I can’t wait to try out all the different colors. I’m so excited.”
The guest at the party was raving about the Sunkisser, a multi-use liquid blush and bronzer. Retailing for $11.99, it is non-sticky and is ultra-blendable. The buildable formula melts to your skin for a natural glow that lasts up to 12 hour wear, leaving you with glowy and sun kissed cheeks! The Sunkisser is available in a whopping 10 multi-use blush and bronze shades.
The well-dressed crowd also tested the Lifter Liner—Maybelline NY’s next level lip liner that is long lasting and easy to apply. This lip pencil, priced at $9.99, delivers a smooth glide application without tugging and is easy to use. The Lifter Liner is also available in 10 shades to combine with your favorite Lifter Gloss.
Lastly, guests also got to try out the Lash Sensational Firework Mascara. The washable makeup mascara—retail price for $13.99—delivers 360° lash impact and full flare. It comes with a brush with bristles arranged in a spiral firework pattern to shoot lashes up and out, making it clump-resistant.
In addition to testing the new makeup, the crowd enjoyed an assortment of tasty food like mini sliders, fries, pretzels, and sugary cotton candy. They also drank the most refreshing mocktails and cocktails that were appropriately named the Sunkissed Spritz, Maybelline Mojito and Carnival Water. VIP guests also had the chance to participate in playing skee-ball, a game of ring toss and pose for pictures in a photo booth. Attendees also got to build their own charm bracelets to take home.
The Maybelline Summer Carnival is open to the public today (June 14) and Saturday (June 15) from 11am to 7pm EST. The carnival is located at 105 Wooster Street in New York. All guests are welcomed free of charge.
