Get ready for the freshest, most delicious, and expertly brewed cups of coffee in New York City. Max Brenner, the beloved chocolatier who has been leading the global chocolate culture for over 25 years, is now selling on-demand, roasted coffee in Manhattan along with their decadent hot chocolate and handcrafted chocolates.  The chocolate company has partnered with Ansā, an innovative coffee micro-roaster company, to offer customers artisanal coffee and espresso drinks made with freshly roasted beans.

Ansā’s ethically sourced specialty coffee is roasted in-store at the Max Brenner Times Square location at 720 7th Avenue, which is open daily. What makes this coffee standout is Ansā’s fully automatic micro-roaster that provides on-demand roasting just before the cup of coffee is made.

Their roaster utilizes an AI operating system that roasts coffee beans within minutes and creates a perfectly consistent roast that is fresh and top quality every time. Ansā boasts they are the future of coffee. They are the world’s first raw (green) specialty coffee solution to enable on-demand roasting. Their coffee—Naranjo—is from Costa Rica and known for its medium acidity and subtle sweetness.

By roasting at the point of consumption, Ansā’s “farm to cup” concept is drastically reducing long-distance shipping, excessive packaging and environmental waste — creating a more eco-friendly coffee experience. Also, their standards in sustainable, environmental conscience and coffee practices are revolutionizing the way consumers enjoy coffee.

The Knockturnal was recently invited to experience Ansā’s roaster machines and to taste the coffee while visiting the Max Brenner shop. We tried a latte and the coffee was well balanced with a satisfying combination of nuts and fruits. It wasn’t too bitter and the acidic notes hit right. It was also free from any flavor defects. The roasts also had a formidable, pleasant aroma, which created a deep and extraordinary sensory stimulation! Next we tried an espresso hot chocolate, which wasn’t overly sweet, and had the perfect ratio of bitterness.

Max Brenner’s collaboration with Ansā marks a significant milestone in expanding the company brand. Best known for its yummy, premium chocolate creations and hearty hot chocolate, by adding fresh roasted coffee to its menu, Max Brenner is aiming to become the ultimate destination for artisanal beverages in Times Square, appealing to both residents and tourists. They are truly on their way to accomplishing those goals.

The Max Brenner Times Square shop is a small, but pretty space, that sells their famous hot chocolate, waffles, milkshakes, cookies, and, of course, chocolate confections. The company prides itself on making chocolate with the highest quality cocoa beans and the finest raw materials. Max Brenner’s chocolate creations are as delicious as they are beautiful. Every bite and design elevates the chocolate experience.

Come visit Max Brenner Times Square as soon as possible to try the freshest coffee and espresso drinks thanks to Ansā. Trust us, you won’t be disappointed. Everything is really good!
