‘3 Way Freak’ ft. Lil Wayne and ‘Friends’ ft. Nas & Juicy J out now on iTunes.
On December 4, Pimp C will have his third posthumous album released via Mass Appeal Records. Long Live the Pimp features a combination of artists including Nas, T.I., Juicy J, Slim Thug, Ty Dolla $ign, David Banner, Devin the Dude and 8Ball & MJG and rappers that credit Pimp C as their inspiration, Lil Wayne and A$AP Rocky. The album was executive produced by Pimp C’s widow, Chinara Butler. The album also features production work from the likes of Mr. Lee, Ray Murray (of Organized Noize), Crazy Mike and Cory Mo. It’ll be the first full length collection since 2011’s Still Pimping.
We were able to hear the album from start to finish at Gibson Guitar studios, where Chinara and Mr.Lee shared a little about how each single was put together.
“This album is the culmination of years of work from not just me, but also the amazing artists and producers who contributed to make it happen”, says Chinara Butler. “It combines several of the ideas and projects my husband began before his untimely passing. We hope the Trill fans enjoy it.”
