Lydia Jacoby talks partnership with Gillette Venus for the 2024 Olympics

20 year old Olympic gold medalist swimmer, Lydia Jacoby, is partnering with Gillette Venus for the 2024 Olympic Games.

Jacoby attended her first Olympics at just 17 years old, becoming the first Alaskan swimmer to qualify for the games as well as bringing home a gold medal to the United States and her hometown. Now, going to Paris for the 2024 games in hopes of bringing back another medal, Lydia has partnered with Gillette Venus to feel powerful, smooth and prepared for her Olympic return.

“The campaign, ‘Feel the Power of Smooth’, really applies to swimming,” Jacoby says, “you talk about having a smooth stroke and then having smooth skin.”

Being an Olympic gold medalist comes with some pressure that Jacoby has felt after her first time at the games. Her secret to overcoming the pressure is, “having the right people behind [her], the right brands behind [her]; that really share [her] common interests, goals and values in life.” She says partnering with a brand that is all about women empowerment is a natural fit and helps her feel, “smooth and powerful”.
