Lilly Singh, Anthony Ramos, Zazie Beetz and Marc Aaron Celebrate at the LA Red Carpet Premiere of The Bad Guys

DreamWorks Animation presents a new comedy action film, The Bad Guys based on the New York Times best-selling book series.

The five baddest criminal besties attempt their most challenging con yet, becoming good. The animal outlaws comprised of Mr. Wolf [Sam Rockwell], Mr. Snake [Marc Maron], Mr. Piranha [Anthony Ramos], Mr. Shark [Craig Robinson] and Ms. Tarantula [Awkwafina] have done it all but after years of countless heists and being the most wanted villains, the bad guys are finally caught. Mr. Wolf garners a deal with governor, Ms. Diane Foxington [Zazie Beetz] that keeps the crew from going to jail under one condition, they be good! While this proves to be a challenge easier said than done, the rambunctious reporter, Tiffany Fluffit [Lilly Singh] is there to report on all the ups, downs, and twists that happen along the way.

On Tuesday, April 12 The Bad Guys had their LA red-carpet premiere at the Ace Hotel theater. The cast and crew including Marc Maron, Zazie Beetz, Anthony Ramos, Lilly Singh, and director Pierre Perifel took to the carpet to discuss their excitement for the film’s screening. “Kids, young people, they’re shaping the world. I feel blessed to be a small part of any kid’s life. I feel grateful,” Ramos shared. Many parents and children eagerly filled the sidewalks, excited for a chance to take a picture with their favorite stars before heading into the beautiful, vintage theater to enjoy the film. Film director Pierre Perifel joked with attendees that he is no longer used to talking with people in person after the quarantine period of the pandemic which makes viewing this film in person even better.

After viewers screened the film, it was time to celebrate! Guests were shuttled over to The Reserve, a sophisticated nightclub in the basement of a 1920s arts bank to partake in some after party festivities. Upon entry guests were treated with champagne and signature cocktails such as the “cococon,” “fresh out of jail,” and “French 75.” The large venue also had sweet & savory stations in every room including macaroons, cake, cake pops, cheeseburgers, tacos, tater tots and more. Guests mingled, indulged in hors d’oeuvres, and flicked it up at the photobooths.

The Bad Guys will be in theaters April 22.
