Kourtney Kardashian sure did bring her rock n’ roll flare, both clothing and music-wise, for her Boohoo, New York Fashion Week Show!
The fashion show stated off with models sporting large black sunglasses, while strutting to the first song choice of the night, Beyonce’s “Pure/Honey,” that was received enthusiastically with the audience cheering for the models while singing along. With the main lyrics being “it should cost a billion to look this good, but she make it look easy, cause she’s got it,” perhaps the Kardashian was consciously manifesting for all the audience members to be drawn to looking like a billion bucks as well, thanks to her fashion show collection. Most of the pieces were perfect for the upcoming fall season, aka moody witchy season – blacks, leathers, lingerie, dark shades, punky chunky boots, and a pop of pink and red colors for accents, as well as a mixture of loose fitting and curve-hugging apparel.
The music then transitioned to more nostalgic rock and alternative bands cues, including The Killers’ “Somebody Told Me,” and even a shout-out to now hubby, drummer, Travis Barker, by featuring her own personal Blink-182 hoodie on a model walking the show. As a cherry on top to the fashionable ready-to-wear collection, and simultaneous jam session, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker personally sat front row to watch the fashion show, alongside the audience, which was a unique and rare experience for all the fashionistas! Kourtney Kardashian has always been known to walk to the beat of her own drum in her family, and create new standards for boundaries and peace, and it was refreshing to witness her enjoying her own show from an audience perspective. Once the show concluded, Kourtney and Travis held hands and walked down the runway towards backstage, while she held a huge bouquet of red roses, which was most likely a congratulations gift from her romantic hubby ,(throwback to her red rose filled proposal on the beach!) along with her huge smile of accomplishment.
