Keeping up with Toronto this week, Toronto’s TRIPSIXX is one of the many young talented artists rising from the 6. He starts off 2016 with a bang by dropping his debut EP, We Own The Night which includes 5 tracks. Production is handled by Prezident Jeff, Lost Planets, Trappy Blocka, Zennx X Rodneysorare and Tay Lewis. The project is accompanied by a very VHS influenced music video for one the standout tracks, “Savage Shit”.
TRIP’s history in the Toronto music scene could be considered deep because of all of his affiliations as well as his musical resume that he has built over the years. In the past, TRIPSIXX has collaborated with Key!, and OVO Sound artist Roy Wood$. As far as the music goes, his content is intact with his swag. He is also part of Roy Wood$ crew called UTU.
TRIPSIXX is one of the few artists that has successfully built himself a cult fan-base via his unique and fresh take on the modern contemporary hip hop music. Take a listen below and watch the music video after the jump.
