On January 28th, The Knockturnal put on our Sunday best and headed to The Skylark in New York City for the Recording Academy’s official viewing party of the 60th annual Grammys.
The black tie fete was hosted by speaker and electronics company JBL Audio, which also happened to be the official audio partner of the Grammy Awards.
Located just steps from Madison Square Garden, The Skylark sits on the 30th floor of a midtown building and features stunning views of the city.
The viewing party had almost all the glitz and glamour of the Grammys itself – boasting an official Recording Academy red carpet and a swanky photo booth. Floral arrangements decorated the tables and flat screen TV’s were carefully placed on the walls so guests didn’t miss any of the Grammy action.
We spotted singers Bridgette Kelly and Elle Varner, Roc Nation artist Young Prince, DJ Kitty Cash and HBO Insecure actor Broderick Hunter.

Guests took in tasty bites like mini grilled cheese sandwiches, fried mushroom and mozzarella sticks, and of course sliders… because Chrissy Tiegen isn’t the only one who likes a side of burger with her Grammys!
The viewing party also featured an open bar plus special Grammy themed cocktails like tequila based Record of the Year, scotch based Album of the Year and vodka based Best New Artist.
To kick off music’s biggest night, guests were each given a Grammy ballot to mark their predictions.
We’re pretty sure “24K Magic” is going to sound pretty epic on it – especially now that’s its officially Album of the Year.
