It was a stunning night for an amazing cause when hundreds of supporters gathered for the beloved Midsummer Angel Gala.
Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research presented their Young Professionals Committee Midsummer Angel Gala on June 4. The grand hall at The Bowery Hotel in New York was full of beautiful people coming together to honor the work of the organization that focuses on the goal of raising funds for music therapy and cancer research. Since 2019, the YPC has raised nearly $800,000 for Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation through its legendary events.
Renowned music executive and entrepreneur Charlie Walk was honored in front of attendees including Brandon Metz, Julio Galvez, RISA, and Jesse Solomon of “Summer House.”

“It’s very good to be here since the subject is very close to home,” Solomon who is a survivor told Knockturnal on the red carpet. “The message is that awareness is important and why it is important going to get checked. Early detection is the only way to truly beat cancer. It’s just been so heartwarming. I’m just happy that I could share my story. A lot of people are grateful and reached out and said thank you. I’m just here to support as many people as I can.”
All proceeds from the YPC Gala will go towards Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation’s music therapy and cancer research programs, which to date have distributed nearly $43M in research grants.

“We’re speaking to the kids and here to ask the younger generation to take it seriously,” reflected Walk earlier in the night. “This is about protecting and saving lives and for the future.”
