I Tried the $600 NYC Facial Hilary Duff Is Obsessed With

When it comes to getting a facial, it’s an experience that can either be totally worth it or backfire in the days post-treatment. I love a facial as much as the next gal, but my skin is a bit pickier than I am—often times resulting in purging skin and acne blemishes running rampant.

All of our complexions are unique, and therefore, require a different approach than the ones our friends swear by. For example, someone whose main concern is dull or uneven skin could care less about dark scar treatments and vice versa. This is also why facials, specifically those that take a more generalized approach, are tricky.

Part of receiving a good facial is ensuring you and your facialist work in tandem to solve the skin problems that bother you, or ones they feel should be addressed. But so many times I’ve received a facial where I feel like I got the bare minimum of a “personalized” facial. Recently, I checked out Daphne Nolita, a facial and body salon where celebs like Dua Lipa, Hilary Duff, Amelia Gray and Irina Shayk have all visited. What makes this salon so unique is that each product applied has been specifically designated to you based on a pre-analyzation of your skin right before your facial—and I was nothing short of impressed the entire time.

Customized for each client, my facialist provided one of the most informative treatments I’ve received as of yet. After she took a few minutes to feel and look at my skin we began talking about the skincare products I currently use, with her weighing in on whether or not it provides the necessary benefits my skin required. The tailored session not only then broke down a specified regimen I should follow, but proceeded to apply the same logic during my facial.

Daphne works with one of the beauty-industry’s favorite: French brand Biologique Rechere. In addition, my facial involved LED Light, Micro current machine, and extraction. Leaving my skin glowy and smooth at the end of it.

Overall, it was an experience I’m begging to recreate very soon and has become an instant favorite in my book.

Daphne is located at 375 Broome Street in New York City. Book your appointment https://daphne.studio
