WE TV’s “Hustle and Soul” Celebrates the premiere of season two with Questlove at Andaz on 5th ave.

On the second floor of a luxury hotel on 5th ave and 42nd St. WE TV threw a season 2 premiere party for Hustle and Soul, featuring the legendary DJ Questlove on the turntables.

Emulating the fusion of culture in the city Andaz’s Apartment 2E was the perfect set up for the premiere of a show about food in the city! The first thing we saw getting off of the elevator was floor to ceiling windows, and a huge open kitchen surrounded by 3 multiple (kitchen style) islands. We entered through sliding glass doors to an open bar and open kitchen to our choice of popular PINK TEACUP eats; crab cakes, macaroni, and cheese in the form of a chicken nugget, beef sliders, and my new favorite, chicken, and waffles. Apartment 2E was perfect for a unique, stylish, and sometimes romantic gathering like this. DJ Questlove was the definition of vibing, and culture fusion! Everyone was singing and dancing, his mix went from Britney Spears, Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson, funk, country, pop Beyonce, 90’s, hip-hop…. it was a remarkable set touching each group in attendance from the corporate crowd, and the partygoers, artists, and foodies.

All cast members fighting to manage the “Pink Tea Cup” enjoyed themselves, were professional, and kept their tempers in check contrary to scenes from the WE TV trailers. Watch WE TV’s Hustle and Soul serving its second season full of drama, twins, and food.

Tune in to see all the tea at the “Pink Teacup” Thursdays at 10 pm.
