How ShopRunner is Redefining the World of E-Commerce and Making it Easier to Shop all of Your Favorite Brands Online!

E-comerce has absolutely revolutionized the way we all shop, and it becomes a bigger part of our every day lives as time goes on.  Since their launch in 2010, ShopRunner has been doing their part to change the game when it comes to online shopping. The platform offers a subscription-based service providing free two-day shipping, free returns, and other exclusive benefits from various retail partners.

ShopRunner partners with more than 100 retail brands, including Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s, Kate Spade, and Under Armour, among others. The company’s service is available to consumers in the United States, offering a convenient alternative to traditional online shopping. In addition to free two-day shipping and free returns, ShopRunner members also have access to exclusive deals and discounts from partner retailers. The company also offers a mobile app that allows users to track their orders and manage their accounts on the go. Having one-stop shopping apply to online orders as well will make everything from birthdays and holidays to home decoration so much more convenient.

But that’s not even the best part.  ShopRunner is totally free! All that customers need to do is download the app and make an account. ShopRunner members can use their membership at more than 90 online stores, from clothes and shoes to health and beauty. The subscription also includes free returns and automatic tracking, eliminating so many complications that online shopping may typically bring about.

We spoke with Alix Filarski, Director of Marketing at FedEx Dataworks, about how ShopRunner continues to change the game!

The Knockturnal: Where did the inspiration for ShopRunner come about? What is a bit of its origin story?

Alix Filarski: We launched in 2010 with a mission of bringing shoppers closer to the brands that they love through free 2-day shipping and free returns. As we grew and the world of ecommerce changed, we expanded our offering to support shoppers through their entire shopping journey from brand discovery to post purchase. Today, we’re all about putting the confidence back in online shopping with our free ShopRunner membership which provides automatic order tracking, free shipping and returns, and exclusive member benefits, so you can afford to shop boldly.

The Knockturnal: How is ShopRunner changing the game when it comes to online shopping and e commerce?

Alix Filarski: Since combining the ShopRunner platform with the strength and resources of the FedEx network in 2020, we have expanded our offerings to help make online shopping simpler and more organized through a post purchase experience in the form of automatic order tracking on all online orders.  After launching a new app and rebrand in November of 2022, ShopRunner is giving online shopping the makeover it deserves, creating a clear and organized platform for people to cut through the frustrating experiences that can come with shopping online. The ShopRunner mobile app aggregates all details of a digital purchase and includes logistics insights for our members.

The Knockturnal: What are some things you want users to know about ShopRunner?
