Stepping out of the house into a blizzard with temperatures low enough to freeze ice cubes was not on the top of my to-do list on a chilly Manhattan morning.
However the prospect of warm puppy hugs, and happily wagging tales made the trip to Milk Studios for Adobe’s Dog Photography Workshop worth the trek. While munching on a delicious breakfast, we were treated to a group photography session with some adorable Insta-Famous pups, learning tips, tricks and doggalicious ways to become as famous as our four-legged counterparts.
Photographer Theron Humphrey and his travel famous companion Maddie, led the class, teaching us how to pose with your pooch. Taking share-worthy pet photos using a smartphone, was followed by an interactive editing tips and tricks session. Humphrey went on to show us how to use the new Lightroom CC and free apps like Lightroom CC on mobile and Adobe Spark. Eventually allowing the class to practice the newly learned techniques on the pups themselves.
It’s estimated that dog owners post about their canine companions on social media six times a week, and 1 in 10 has created a profile just for their pup. It’s clear that our love of dog photos is at an all-time high.
Guests of honor include Muppet, Pants (both siblings of the late Toast), Ella and Coconut Bean and Chloe Kardoggian.
