A juicy patty. Oozing melted cheese. Tangy special sauce. Creative seasoning and lots of toppings. Naughty Patty’s, a brand new gourmet smash burger concept from The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, has perfected the burger and is serving the most delicious ones in all of Sin City. This eatery isn’t the standard fast casual burger joint, but a playful dining experience where guests can indulge in elevated and fresh comfort food.

Nestled inside the Block 16 Urban Food Hall at The Cosmopolitan on the second level of the Boulevard Tower, guests will immediately smell the enticing aroma of Naughty Patty’s smash burgers as soon as they step into the space. The pleasant scent will instantly make you feel happy and hungry. The restaurant—curated by The Cosmopolitan’s Executive Chef Mark Crane and Chef Aaron Schilling—offers burgers, grilled cheese, and hot dogs as their main items. It’s a simple menu, yet every bite packs a punch.

“We just want to make the best food for people,” Chef Schilling told The Knockturnal. “The idea behind this was—we need a nice burger. Anyone can do an 8 oz. burger and throw in meat, Kraft Singles [cheese], lettuce, tomato, and onion. It’s very standard. It’s good, but we wanted to be outside of that box, and so we are doing things differently.”

Thanks to Schilling and his team, the smash burger at Naughty Patty’s is unique and takes center stage. Their namesake dish, called “The Naughty Patty,” is a culinary masterpiece. The burger consists of a beef patty made from a blend of ground chuck and brisket—making it thick and unbelievably juicy. The burgers are cooked on a flat top using no butter or oil and only from the fat coming out from the beef, giving the perfect amount of crisp char on the edges. It is also loaded with a hefty amount of lettuce, tomato, onion, crinkled dill pickles, and New School American cheese, which is made just from milk. It has no additives, no preservatives, and is much thicker compared to regular American cheese. It has a lot of flavor, and you will taste the difference. “The Naughty Patty” is also topped with the restaurant’s zippy special sauce on a potato roll. Each bite seamlessly fuses a balanced flavor bomb of salt, tang, and sweetness. The burger is priced at $16 and is simply outstanding. We could eat this every day!

To complement the burger, order the $26 “Patty Meal,” which includes the smash burger with fries and a drink for a full, hearty meal. Upgrades on drinks are available for draft beers, specialty sodas like the refreshing house-made root beer, or concretes (frozen custard). As for the fries, they were superb. Crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, with a blend of dry noire and Cajun seasoning that made it pop with flavor. “We are always serving our fries crispy,” Schilling said. “We always cook them fresh. We don’t have a well sitting there with fries. If we get three orders, we put three into the fryer. Same with the burgers. We have a small menu, but we can execute everything fresh.”

Another standout at Naughty Patty’s is the grilled cheese called “The Melt Down.” The $11 sandwich is made with New School American cheese, making a huge difference in quality, and it was warm and incredibly gooey. As for the white bread, it’s brushed with mayo—not butter—and fried to a golden crisp, giving a satisfying crunch. Make sure to order this as well. You won’t regret it.

If you’re not in the mood for a burger or grilled cheese, Naughty Patty’s offers a big, fat, $11 hot dog that is extremely tasty and satisfying. The hot dogs consist of all-beef with natural casing that snaps—eliminating that mushy texture. Their $15 “Dirty Dog” is loaded with meat chili, mustard, and diced onions. Every bite was heavenly. “We wanted that juicy, exploding in your mouth, hot dog,” laughed Schilling.

For dessert, house-made frozen custard concretes—vanilla custard with a choice of Oreo or strawberry toppings—are available. “We have a pastry shop and they spin the custard every morning, and our toppings are freshly made,” Schilling revealed. “Our strawberry compote and strawberry filling is all made in-house.” The $10 concretes were flawless and not overly sweet. It’s the perfect dessert and not to be missed. Naughty Patty’s also makes house-made root beer that’s refreshing. They create their own root beer syrup and wintergreen, that makes their version pop even more.

In addition to the scrumptious food, diners will indulge in Naughty Patty’s tasty creations inside a playful, spacious space that boasts quirky art and amusing expressions such as “Get Buns Deep” and “Let’s Meat Up,” which adorn the walls for an entertaining atmosphere. Their food packaging is also very whimsical. They have fun quotes like “Feeling naughty? Let the fries join in” and “Cookin’ Up Heaven While Raisin’ Hell” on their cups and food containers. A cheeky cartoon drawing of the namesake Patty pin-up character giving the middle finger can be seen inside each of the burger’s cardboard box containers, which was created by Chef Schilling. “Everything at Cosmo needs to be the first of its kind, and that’s what we aim for. We always want to be the ones leading the way,” he said.

Naughty Patty’s is a trailblazer. There’s something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you’re eating a smash burger, grilled cheese, or hot dog, you’ll leave feeling full and satisfied. And you won’t have to max out your credit card to enjoy an exceptional meal in Vegas. We highly recommend all to visit Naughty Patty’s soon.

Naughty Patty’s is open Sunday – Thursday from 11 am – 10 pm and Friday – Saturday from 11 am – midnight.
