A new series from Amazon and A24 follows college freshman Benny as he navigates his new environment and attempts to make friends—, ll while remaining closeted.
Created by comedian and internet personality Benito “Benny Drama” Skinner, “Overcompensating” explores the misadventures of Benny, who arrives at college after spending high school pretending to be straight. At school, he quickly befriends Carmen (Wally Baram), a fellow freshman who shares his naïve, self-conscious energy. Though the two become intimate early on, they ultimately realize that friendship suits them best.
The series dives into the lives of Benny, Carmen, and their eclectic group of peers as they stumble through identity, connection, and self-discovery during their first year of college.
