The second day of the Mammoth Film Festival had a red carpet lined with special talent alongside producers, writers, and directors. One of the few festivals to do so, Mammoth Film Festival includes a ‘First Time Filmmaker Spotlight,’ which highlights the inaugural work of actors-turned-directors.

This year, Luke Roberts (Hail Caesar, Fear the Walking Dead) and Justin Matthews (The Morning Show, Major Crimes) premiered The Duel, a feature starring Dylan Sprouse (The Curse of Turandot, My Fake Boyfriend), Hart Denton (Outsiders, Riverdale), and Patrick Warburton (Family Guy, Get Smart). The comedy follows the story of two best friends who decide to settle an argument using the mechanisms of a classic Western duel, which naturally ends in death.
The day’s festivities began once again at Minaret Cinemas, where guests stayed hydrated with PATH Water after sipping on Saldo Wines and White Claw during their pre-screening mingling. Festival founders Tanner Beard and Tomik Mansoori shared a laugh on the couch at Poppy’s Lounge. Poppy, the Mammoth Film Festival’s official mascot, joined in on the fun.
Peak IV Hydration Therapy
Talent also stopped by the PEAK IV Therapy and Hydration Activation, which ran all weekend long at Minaret Cinemas, offering up hydration, an oxygen bar, IV treatments (vitamin, energy boost, beauty, and hangover), and more. Hydration boosts were popular during the festival with talent such as Ashley Greene (Twilight), Joel David Moore (Avatar), Paul Johansson, Thomas Jane, and Ross McCall, among others.
Later that night, festival guests kicked back at the newly renovated Sierra Nevada Resort, where they had the chance to participate in a tasting event honoring the launch of El Cristiano Tequila’s XR Extra Reposado. The fireside mixer saw talent and filmmakers including Robert Kirkland (Yellowstone/Dyad), Aja Naomi King, Peter Facinelli, Ross McCall, Peter Winther, Paul Johansson, Lucas Grabeel, Kyle Stefanski, Stocktip Dave, Mike Hermosa, and Jon Carlo.
