We attended the world’s largest and first all-women reggaeton party at Terminal 5 in New York City, the Sorry Papi Tour.
The event’s mission is to create an environment free of men where women can come together to feel safe, transcend self-love, and empower one another.A space where women could dress freely, hang with their girlfriends, and belt out the lyrics to their favorite past and present hits spun out by female DJs. Sorry Papi embraces a bond amongst women as everyone, from the tour manager to the artists who created the art installations for the tour, is an all-women team.
The TikTok sensation made up of Brianna Leah, Jenni Hernandez, Thais Rodriguez, and Melany Rivera, the world’s first bilingual Latina girl group Bella Dose, put on a female empowering and confidently sexy performance that had fans dancing and singing along to their hits.
Together they represent several Latin American countries and displayed their flags during their headlining performance with lots of orgullo. Leli Hernandez and Lexy Panterra were also among the ladies putting on a girl’s do run the world performance for the evening. The night was truly a (girl) vibe.
One of the best things about being a DJ is making people happy, and DJs King Inesse, DJ Miriam, and DJ Manuela were doing just that. Women were dancing the night away to songs like Beyoncé’s Run The World, Keisha Cole’s Love, Ariana Grande’s Break Free as well as Latin hits like Karol G’s Tusa, Ozuna’s Se Preparó and Bad Bunny’s latest song Where She Goes.
With a slew of photo ops, cocktails in pink cups, and official tour merchandise, the evening will surely be a good time for those who attend. They will continue touring nationwide and have set dates through September. Future dates will be announced for Long Island and New Jersey, as well as Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. Check out the Sorry Papi Tour in a city near you and bring your entire girl squad for the ultimate girl’s night out! We’re sorry, papí.
